I have never dyed my hair and get nearly constant attention for how blonde I am and how much hair I have. I have had hairstylists ask to keep the trimmings to try to get close to matching my color. Usually when I go to a salon I end up with a crowd around me. I have not cut my hair in about 10 months, so there are a few split ends, but the ends are still very soft and healthy. I occasionally put coconut oil on the ends. I have always had healthy hair, even when I go long periods of time without trims. I am in my early 20s, am vegan, and drink lots of water. I wash my hair about every other day (3/4 times a week). I never use any heated styling tools. I wash and let it air dry overnight (and it is still very wet in the morning). I am traveling now and haven’t been able to find any measuring tape so my guess is 4″ on the thickness, but I can update when I know better. I also don’t want to cut above my shoulders, but I have at least 10 inches to spare.
I will cut once I have a buyer and can cut how you like, but I plan to cut in mid-May when it is convenient for me and I will be able to ship it. I braid my hair for 15 minutes in the morning while I get ready and my hair holds waves and curls very well. I have naturally wavy hair, but it is very easy to get it to do what I want. It has been years since it has been straightened (at a salon after a cut), but it does also stay straight until it is wet.
The last two pictures are how I normally wear my hair down after it has been braided for a few hours.
Update. New picture with measuring tape in centimeters. Hair is 4.4 inches thick (minus a chunk in the front that I pulled out of layers that had been around my face in the past). I have 13 inches to spare.
