I have grown my hair just for you! I have been growing it for about 3 years. I trim it once a year. or whenever I see split ends. I do it myself or ask a family member or friend to do it. I have discovered that most salons do not have organic shampoo options and I prefer to save money by doing it myself.

As titled, my hair is virgin. I only use Trader Joe’s brand “Tea Tree Tingle” shampoo and conditioner, because it is free of phthalates, sulfates, parabens, and it uses organic ingredients with no added fragrance. I wash it an average of two times per week, so as not to dry it out…sometimes less during a pandemic. I rinse with cold water to close the cuticles.

I treat my scalp and hair with a mix of organic castor oil and organic sweet almond oil about every 2 months. Sometimes I do this more often in winter.

I have never been a smoker and have always eaten healthy. However, in the last year, I have also been slowly changing to a vegan diet.

To reduce hair damage and breakage, I usually wear my hair down. I always air dry and never use any heat tools (obviously), as that is part of the definition of virgin hair. Sometimes I loosely braid it with a snag-free binder at the end. I also might use a claw style hair clip, but I avoid ponytails. Even after all this, there is still some breakage underneath my hair by my neck. It seems unavoidable. As well, sometimes there are random shorter pieces by my forehead or throughout my head. Overall, there is very little breakage and very few split ends.

The hair feels soft and smooth. I listed it as straight and wavy because it is in-between. The best identifier I found is type 1B. However, that is still a guess and I am not an expert on this. It takes curl very well with just water and air dry (such as foam rollers) or a heat tool, if one were to do so. It also holds the curl or style for a long time.

I have listed the color as white/grey because that is the dominant color and the auburn is mixed in throughout. However, it is really a mix of several colors along the spectrum from auburn to white. I was born naturally auburn and it has slowly been losing its pigment over the years in a nice blended mix that almost looks like highlights. I often get asked if I have gotten platinum highlights or auburn lowlights or some other dye treatment. While I appreciate the compliments, it has never been color treated in any way. I get many of these compliments on my hair color and length on a weekly basis (in a non-pandemic world when I used to leave the house more often). That is what led me to consider selling it.

At the shortest point at my neck, the lenth is about 16 inches. At the longest point, the length is about 22 inches. I want to be left with about 2 inches on top, but could taper down to shaved at the neck. So that totals 16 to 20 inches all over the head. I’m assuming it would need to be cut in several ponytails, resulting in many small bundles. You can choose how it is cut or even cut it yourself. The circumference is 3 and 3/16 inch around a ponytail, but the drop-down tab options were either 3 or 3 1/2.

Thank you for looking at my ad and considering to buy my hair. My payment method is paypal. If you have me cut the hair and ship it, I can use whichever method works for you if you include that in the payment.
